Noble Phantasm

Eight Blessings of Amaterasu: It is a mirror that Tamamo-no-Mae carries with her. It is the temporarily released form of the Tamamo Weight Stone (玉藻鎮石, Tamamo no Shizu-Ishi?), a sacred regalia above other sacred regalia, which was enshrined in Izumo after being brought down from heaven by Takehinateru no Mikoto. According to descriptions in the Nihon Shoki, it was taken from Izumo on the orders of the imperial court and later enshrined in Kawachi.

The mirror levitates around Tamamo during battle, which she uses to strike enemies in melee combat. Once its Noble Phantasm function is activated, she summons a levitating Ofuda circle surrounded by a number of glowing Torii gates, charges the mirror with energy, and positions herself in the center of the circle to draw the energy in. The absorbed energy allows her to use her abilities without expending any magic power for a limited time. It is normally a divine treasure from the land of the dead, capable of even bringing the deceased back to life, but Tamamo's Servant form has not been granted the authority to wield such power. Otherwise, it could have been an EX-rank Anti-World Noble Phantasm, which would have the range to cover an entire country.

To activate the Noble Phantasm, Tamamo recites the following incantation:

God residing in Izumo.

Aesthetically secure, Soul's sigh. Living in the mountains and watery skies, Amaterasu.

Let this freely become the proof of purification.

Your name is Tamamo's Weighed Stone.

Become the Sacred Treasure, Mirror of Uka!

Personal Skills

Maleficio (Rank EX): Caster utilizes all physical phenomena performed with her own body. While ordinary sorcery is a program that "recomposes what exists around her," Maleficio is a program that "recomposes the raw materials within one's own body." It is related to Dakiniten methods and includes methods for discerning the moment of one's own death, secret arts for gaining influence, methods for achieving status and fortune—for men—and methods for gaining the favor of influential people—for women. Due to the harsh lessons she received in the past, Tamamo-no-Mae no longer makes use of her formidable abilities in these areas.

Maleficent: Unlimited Sunlight (Rank A): Upgrade to the Maleficent skill. An upside-down world filled with hatred and created solely to kill a target, from which there is no escape unless the cause is eliminated.

Shapeshifting (Rank A): This refers to the ability to change one's appearance or borrow the physical form of another. As a kitsune, or fox spirit, Tamano-no-Mae can alter her appearance and even her species at will. However, due to a traumatic event in a past incarnation that resulted in her death and temporary imprisonment, she rarely, if ever, uses this ability.

Fox Wedding (EX Rank): The Item Construction skill that received several of her peculiar manipulations. By unilaterally declaring a wedding, a shower of blessings is showered down and souvenirs are given to allies as congratulations; a trap skill that can only be described as the work of a fox miko.

Class skills

Territory Creation (Rank C): This ability allows the user to create special terrain that is advantageous to them as a sorcerer. Unfortunately for Tamamo-no-Mae, her personality is not well-suited to the task of manipulating reality, and she has great difficulty even creating a small-scale craft studio and crafting minor amulets and other low-level talismans.

Divinity (Rank A): As a divided spirit of Amaterasu, Tamamo-no-Mae holds the highest rank of Divinity. After seal upon seal, the rank became this.

Skills

Tamamo-no-Mae is a soul created from the essence of the sun goddess Amaterasu, and as such, she is not merely an Earth Spirit, but a unique and real facet of the goddess from whom she originates. Her true form is that of a god-class spirit, making it a monumental mistake to classify her as one of the many heroic spirits spawned by humans. However, she willingly adopted the role of a Servant in order to, in her own words, "become a good wife." By deliberately accepting the limitations inherent in that role, many of her original powers have been sealed, placing her on the same level as other heroic spirits of human origin. Tamamo is also an anti-heroine, as she is considered one of the Three Great Monsters of Japan. It is said that a hero named Abe no Seimei defeated the nine-tailed, white-faced fox in the past, though no further details are given. Since the number of fox-related Heroic Spirits is quite limited, Suzuka Gozen was able to successfully deduce Tamamo's true name. Tamamo states that having her true identity exposed to the enemy doesn't pose much of a risk to her.

Personality

Caster is sometimes comic relief, a silly and cheerful fox girl. Her cheerful personality is sometimes a brave face she uses to hide her loneliness. Occasionally, she takes the battle and the situation each week of the game seriously. She doesn't think much about the consequences of killing.

She falls in love easily and can't help but develop feelings for the person she serves. She doesn't need the Holy Grail, as her desire is to be the devoted wife of the person who summoned her. She declared that love is the most important thing above all else. Her affection for love stemmed from observing humans, wondering why they were so happy worshipping her personification of Amaterasu. Seeing so many people worshipping her, she wanted to do the same for someone else. Based on her own fate and the actions she took, she believes that a person's intentions are always important. She will only serve those whose intentions and actions are ultimately good. By saying she would be fine serving anyone in general, Caster affirms that the person would ultimately have to be good or have good intentions to receive her service. It doesn't matter if they are men or women, children or adults, or even a saint or sinner; only their intentions matter. This is one of the principles she never betrays. Despite her notoriety, she wants to serve someone with a cheerful face. She enjoys cooking, but not for herself; she prefers to cook for her partner and watch him eat. She also enjoys receiving gifts from her partner, but she frowns upon cheap presents.

Appearance

Caster has the appearance of a human with fox-like features such as ears and a tail. She doesn't mind being called a fox, as she finds them cute, especially her fluffy ears. Caster has yellow eyes and long pink hair that she keeps tied up.

She also has the ability to shapeshift, which allows her to borrow people's appearances and change into them. However, she is uncomfortable using this ability due to past trauma that led to her death. She is said to be the equivalent of the ancient Chinese legend Huli Jing.

History

A woman of astonishing beauty who served as a courtesan to Emperor Toba toward the end of the Hieian Era (794–1185 CE). She is publicly known as a Kitsune (狐, lit. Fox), and is credited with causing the fall of the Shang Dynasty, among other powerful regimes. In the Genpei Jōsuiki, she is associated with Dakini Deva, a tantric deity whose Japanese interpretation rode a fox; her power is invoked in one of Taira no Kiyomori's schemes for political influence.

Tamamo no Mae is a soul originating from the sun goddess Amaterasu and is therefore of a higher order than the earth spirit of myth. Its manifested form is a Yakanjackal (野干ジャッカル), who suffers the fate of bearing a superficial resemblance to a Nine-Tailed Fox Spirit. It is also commonly mistaken for an Uka no Mitama, or one of the many messenger foxes under the command of Inari Ookami.

In her past, she had grown curious about the lives of her worshippers, whose seemingly mundane existence held a powerful fascination. What puzzled her most was their devotion to a deity without name or form. At first, she longed to rebuke these creatures for their weakness and decree divine retribution upon the wrongdoers, as was customary for goddesses. However, as she continued to observe the human condition, she also came to recognize their remarkable capacity for perseverance.

Able to smile despite her siblings' dark deeds or her own fragile nature, one generation could easily overlook the regrets of the last and continue to love. Tamamo no Mae soon began to yearn to be human, to experience those emotions. To that end, she relinquished her divinity and memories and reincarnated as a young human woman in the ancient province of Izumo. Her name when she lived as a child was Misukume.
