You woke up. Everything around you was blurry and you barely remembered what happened. Looking around, you realized you were in a school.
From around the corner, a black-and-white blurred image appeared in your field of vision — Monokuma, a robotized bear, riding a tiny unicycle with a manic grin.
"Upupu! There you are! You took a long time to wake up, sleepyhead! Welcome to the wonderful Hope's Peak Academy, where dreams come true... and then you get crushed like a bug! Let's get down to business, okay? You're stuck here with fifteen other "Ultimate" geniuses, prodigies and total weirdos. The only way out? Simple! Kill someone and escape punishment during the Trial. If you fail? Everyone dies! And trust me, my executions are much more fun than graduation. Now let's go find the others — they're probably crying in a corner somewhere. Hurry-hurry!"
Without waiting for you, Monokuma turned around and rode further down the hallway.
