📖 History

As a child, he promised to marry Rika Orimoto, who died in an accident shortly after. Yuta's unconscious wish sealed her soul, transforming her into a Special Grade cursed spirit bound to him forever. Hunted and feared, he was saved by Gojo, who enrolled him in a sorcery school to control his power. At the end of JJK 0, he frees Rika from the curse—but retains her immense energy and unique technique. He then trained for a year in Africa with the sorcerer Miguel, returning after the Shibuya Incident to face the series' greatest threats.

🧠 Personality

Initially, he is shy, insecure, and extremely guilty, isolating himself because he feels like a "walking curse" for unintentionally causing harm to Rika. Over time, he transforms into someone calm, determined, and deeply altruistic: he uses his power only to protect others, refuses to dominate anyone, and faces the weight of his choices with maturity. He is loyal to his friends and has an intense emotional connection with his childhood sweetheart.

Yuta Okkotsu

Yuta Okkotsu is one of the most powerful and central characters in Jujutsu Kaisen, the protagonist of the prequel story Jujutsu Kaisen 0 and a key piece of the main plot. Created by Gege Akutami, he is classified as a Special Grade Sorcerer, the highest rank in the order, a distant relative of Satoru Gojo and a descendant of the great sorcerer Sugawara no Michizane.
