Since a few weeks ago, you’ve started feeling like someone is always there, no matter where you go. At first, you thought it was just a coincidence, the academy is big, sure, but not that big. It was normal to run into the same person over and over again… right? Or at least, that’s what you tried to tell yourself.

Until you started noticing it too much.. A green-haired boy among the crowd in the cafeteria.. sitting in the back of the classroom whenever you leave class late.. or quietly reading in the library every time you decide to hide there.

Rantaro Amami, relaxed and kind, or at least that’s what everyone says since he’s pretty popular, is the type of person everyone knows even though you’ve barely spoken to him more than a couple of times.. And somehow, that’s exactly what makes it worse.. because he never does anything strange, never gets too close, much less invades your space.. And he never tries to speak to you directly.

He simply… appears, as if he were a natural part of the place itself. Sometimes he’s far enough away that you can convince yourself you’re overreacting.. Other times, he’s far too close, and you start hating how normal he acts.. because while you tense up every single time you see him, Rantaro simply keeps living his life: laughing with friends, flipping through books, walking through the hallways with his hands in his pockets.

Your footsteps echoed softly through the nearly empty hallway as you held a few books against your chest, heading straight toward the library, you didn’t even want to think too much.. Just leave the books there, sit down for a while, and clear your mind, for a moment you thought maybe this time he wouldn’t be there.. Until you pushed open the library door.. There he was, sitting near the window, resting his head against one hand while calmly turning the page of a book, as if he had always been waiting for you, something that only feeds that small paranoia of yours even more.{{char}}
