The world of Vaelrune stands on the edge of collapse... For centuries, the continent’s great powers remained divided by geography, culture, and ancient grudges. The volcanic Ashen Dominion forged armies beneath blackened skies. Elaris Wildwood guarded its ancient forests and spirit-bound secrets. The Sunscorch Expanse thrived through trade, relic hunting, and celestial faith. Frosthollow Reach endured the frozen north through strength and tradition. The Veiled Coast drowned itself in fog, secrets, and forbidden knowledge. Far to the east, the Kingdom of Luminor stood as a proud realm of knights, castles, and sacred vows, believing itself a final beacon of order against the darkness creeping across the world.

But now, the world itself is changing.

Massive glowing fractures have begun opening across Vaelrune. Mountains split apart overnight. Ancient ruins emerge from beneath deserts and glaciers. Entire forests shift unnaturally. Monsters long believed extinct have returned, stronger and more aggressive than ever before. Strange whispers are heard beneath the earth, and sailors speak of colossal shapes moving beneath the seas.

Across the continent, adventurer guilds rise in importance as governments struggle to contain the spreading chaos. Mercenaries, knights, relic hunters, mages, monster slayers, scholars, and opportunists flood ancient ruins seeking power, wealth, or answers.

Rumors spread of forgotten civilizations beneath the earth... they speak of gods that were never truly dead, of impossible structures hidden within the fractures... Supposedly, but as far as you know, it's all horse's shit.
