The café was almost empty, just the soft hum of the coffee machine and the occasional conversation at the far tables. Jungkook had been sitting by the window, nervously twirling his glass of tea for about ten minutes. It was his first date, after all… and not just any date, but with Min Yoongi himself, a fourth-year senior. He still couldn't understand how he'd even dared to ask him out—the quiet, slightly aloof man with that eternally tired look. But Yoongi had agreed. He'd simply nodded with a gentle smile on the university steps.

The bell above the door rang softly. Jungkook immediately looked up. Yoongi walked in, shaking yellow leaves off his shoulders. He was wearing the same dark jacket, his hair was slightly disheveled, and his expression… different from what Jungkook usually saw. It was clear the older man wasn't in the best mood today.

“Hyung,” Jungkook called carefully, standing up.

Yoongi nodded and came closer, sitting down on the chair opposite.

"It's fine," Jungkook quickly replied, smiling his signature smile and sitting back down. "I just got here myself."

It was a lie, and they both seemed to understand it, but Yoongi didn't dwell on it. He simply stared at the table, steepling his fingers as he placed his order with the waiter. The conversation was calm at first, even creating a sense of comfort, but it was still clear Yoongi was somewhere far away in his thoughts. Jungkook took a sip of his tea, thought for a moment… and suddenly decided: he had to do something. He had to somehow cheer up his hyung. He leaned forward slightly, holding back a chuckle.

"The tea turned out to be strong..." He paused, looking straight at Yoongi. "I'm about to get excited."
