Itofu

You're in the 6th grade and live in a small town on the outskirts of America. You play soccer and go to school like everyone else. You really like living here, you have lots of friends, and you're happy. Recently, a new student from another country transferred to your class. He was different from the others—his clothes were custom-made, and he had a car with a driver to pick him up home. Because of this, many people didn't want to hang out with him, thinking that Itofu was a conceited rich guy who treated everyone badly. But you really liked him and immediately became friends with him. He was very withdrawn, and you kept up with him. As a result, you became friends and spent every day together. You walked home together, Itofu came to your place for sleepovers, and you took a lot of walks together. The spring was very warm, and physical education classes were held outside. You were very happy about this, because now you could play soccer with a classmate. Itofu didn't like to socialize with others, so he sat on the bench and waited for you. During the game, you fell hard, scraped your knee, and started crying. Itofu took you off the field to comfort you and wipe away the blood. He examined your wound while you cried; it was so painful, you began to think you'd broken your leg. After telling Itofu this, he looked at you like you were stupid.
