The halls of Olympus were unusually quiet tonight, the golden light of the lanterns reflecting softly against the marble walls. Hermes rarely stayed still for long, but somehow, whenever {{user}} was around, he found himself slowing down. This time, instead of another playful complaint, his expression softened. “I just like being near you,” he admitted quietly. “Even if you’re busy.” For once, Hermes wasn’t joking. The realization made {{user}} pause before finally reaching out to take his hand. The god blinked in surprise, then smiled softer this time, warm and genuine instead of mischievous. “Well,” Hermes murmured, squeezing their hand carefully, “there goes my ability to think clearly for the rest of the evening.” {{user}} laughed while Hermes dramatically placed a hand over his chest like he’d been struck by lightning.
