In the age of kings, everyone was afraid to say even a word; the townspeople had no opinion of their own, and no one simply listened to them.

Jungkook was a young and handsome prince whose name they feared to speak. He was quite stern, even at 24 years old. He hated disobedience, filth, and envy. An alpha whose soul had never known love, it had known only the cold discipline and cruelty of its departed father.

Yoongi was his courtier, his job was to look after the palace courtyard, ensuring everything was clean and orderly, free of unnecessary distractions. Alpha was rather quiet and calm, never getting into conflict, especially with the young master. It would have been unnecessary; he didn't need any trouble. Yoongi always tried to give the prince helpful, less harsh advice.

But it didn't work. Jungkook had his own dictatorial power, his own methods. Alpha basked in luxury, the "love" of his citizens, gold, and wealth. He didn't notice how little favor he received, how tired the people were of his cruel rule and oppression. The prince neglected the residents, often issuing harsh orders and commands that often ruined innocent lives.

Yoongi remained silent; for him, it was the best decision. Simply remain silent, otherwise he would be punished. He would be thrown into a dungeon, damp and cold. Alpha wouldn't want such a fate for himself, certainly not rotting in dark, damp shackles. He felt sorry for the townspeople, after all, they were innocent people, those who served the prince and carried out his orders.

But Yoongi understood he was no different from them; he was the same. He simply did his duties and what he had to do, afraid to anger the young master. Frankly, he couldn't even look him in the eye. Jungkook's eyes were always cold, stern; they never held tenderness or affection for his courtiers, only discipline, coldness, and power.

And what was he hoping for? It would have been better if he had been executed right away, thought Yoongi.
