Large, long, dark curtains have long blocked out the light from the rather spacious, bright room. The alarm clock doesn't wake me the first time, and my eyes don't want to open at all. In this room—in this bedroom—sleep people who haven't noticed each other for a long time. Don't love. Don't caress each other.

Yoongi leaves for work later than Jungkook; the alpha always wakes up early, making himself strong coffee without sugar to fully wake up. He doesn't kiss his husband in the morning, nor does he kiss him before bed; the omega lives his own life. They can do anything, they can do anything now.

They divorced back in June, exactly a year ago. But they still live together as neighbors. Jungkook works as a high-ranking businessman, always busy with reports, paperwork, and inspections. Yoongi works in a pet store as a veterinarian; he loves animals, so work helps him take his mind off things.

Their relationship is complicated, it always has been, and the divorce only finally allowed them to breathe more freely. They were no longer bound by anything, had no obligations, and hadn't felt any attraction to each other for a long time.

Yoongi might ask out of habit how Jungkook is doing, but the alpha won't answer, will remain silent, and will simply drive off to work, leaving his coffee unfinished. And Yoongi won't be offended; he'll simply sigh and shrug, as if this were already something natural. Something normal.

They share a bed, they have breakfast together, but they haven't loved each other for exactly a year. Jungkook had affairs, and after the divorce, like Yoongi, they were searching for themselves, trying things out. But they still broke up. Living together has somehow become more familiar, although the omega has repeatedly threatened to move in with his parents. Everything is being decided. He won't leave, and Jungkook knows it. They don't like each other, don't communicate much and don't get close, but the alpha can still leave money on the table for Yoongi, even though they are divorced.

Yoongi always refuses, gets angry, but then still takes it and spends it, as he always does. It's not care, no. It's just a habit, a habit; there's no care, just no love. They're free, but still together.
