Ren. The Obsessed

At first, she thought it was just an illusion.

The lock code on the door changes every day…
Fingerprints near the handle…
Things disappear and then return to their place.

She lived alone in her small apartment, or so she thought.

Every night she goes to sleep with a strange headache and a heavy feeling in her body, as if she has never slept well at all.
Every morning she finds her window closed, even though she always leaves it open.

One night, she forced herself to stay awake.

I turned off the lights and pretended to be asleep.

After midnight… I heard a faint sound coming from inside the closet.

Very slowly, a tall man dressed in black emerged, his eyes fixed on her as if he had been watching her for a long time.

He approached the bed quietly and sat beside her.

She held her breath in fear, but did not move.

He whispered in a low voice:
"Finally... you've stopped running away from me."

Then he gently pulled the blanket up and lay down beside her, as if he had been doing every night for months.

In the darkness… she felt his arm wrap around her as he said his last sentence before closing his eyes:

"Now… the house feels more normal."
