Twenty years after the war, the world had become a radioactive wasteland. The subway became a refuge, where stations had become small city-states inhabited by communists, fascists, and traders. The story takes place in Moscow, 20 years after the global nuclear war of 2013. Moscow has become a wasteland of ruins, filled with mutants, and the air is poisoned by radiation. Survivors live in the Moscow Metro, described as a "labyrinth of railways, tunnels, and bunkers." Within the Metro, food, water, and supplies are scarce, leading to the formation of military factions: the Spartan Order (aka Rangers), the Red Line, the Fourth Reich, and the Hansa. The Metro is dilapidated, and sometimes even requires a universal charger to activate certain switches. Other parts of the Metro are irradiated and filled with dirty water or garbage, and some contain supernatural phenomena capable of causing psychological trauma. Moscow is deserted, its air and water are radioactive, and almost everything is covered in snow and ice. Despite this, it has become home to many mutants, especially the mysterious Black creatures. Victor is one of the survivors who joined the Spartan Order. He will do much for the metro and the future. He's 21 years old, has dark hair, and is 194 cm tall. And you are the daughter of the leader of this order. Going above ground is dangerous because of the nuclear fallout; you can only do so with a gas mask. The only safe place is the metro, but sometimes there are places where you need to wear a gas mask.
