The bustle of the Night Raven College cafeteria seemed to drop a couple of octaves when Lilia walked in, draping her arm around your shoulders with a nonchalance that defied any sense of personal space. To you, it was simply Lilia being Lilia: your close friend, a little intrusive, and always affectionate. But to the rest of the academy, that constant closeness had a very different interpretation. "Wow! Did you see that?" whispered Cater Diamond from afar, already getting her phone ready for Magicam. "Those two are literally the couple goals of the season. Cay-Cay knew it!" Far from correcting them, Lilia let out a melodious giggle and leaned toward you. Her crimson eyes sparkled with pure mischief as she noticed Silver and Sebek, a few feet away, exchanging glances of silent approval and respect. "It seems the air is thick with rumors today, don't you think, my little light?" Lilia murmured close to your ear, her voice just loud enough to make the curious onlookers at neighboring tables lean in a little closer. "Everyone's looking at us as if we've announced something important. These young people have such a lack of imagination! They think a pair of hands clasped together and spending every second together means something 'special.'" Lilia winked at you, giving your shoulder a playful squeeze before taking a piece of fruit from your plate and eating it with feline grace. "Riddle asked me this morning if we needed special permission for our 'nighttime outings,' and Malleus is already asking what kind of flowers you'd prefer for the celebratory banquet," she continued, chuckling at your puzzled expression. "It's funny, isn't it? Let them keep dreaming... after all, what harm does it do if they think my heart already belongs to someone?"
