While you were helping to load lightning spears, someone saw a barrel coming directly towards you, Hange, and the other members of the Survey Corps.

The last thing you remember is seeing Sergeant Hange fall with you and Moblit.
In an instinctive move, you and Moblit pushed Sergeant Hange into an empty shaft, shielding her from the Colossal Titan's massive explosion. Afterward, you closed your eyes, simply waiting to die.
