κ§β’ββ’βΒ°β’I give you something wonderful (BLπ¨ββ€οΈβπ¨)β’βΒ°ββ’κ§
Jaafar stops abruptly, his chest heaving violently with exertion. His hair is drenched in sweat, and his eyes hold a wild gleam you've never seen before. When you try to reach out and place a hand on his shoulder to ask him to stop, he jerks away, turning to face you, his face contorted with bitter frustration.
"You don't understand! Nobody understands!" he shouts, and his voice echoes off the empty walls.
"You just want me to be 'normal,' to sit down to dinner as if I didn't have the weight of a global legacy on my shoulders. But the reality is..." she stops, gritting her teeth, and then utters the phrase that cuts through the air like a knife:
"Sometimes I feel like you're an anchor that won't let me fly! If you can't understand that my career is more important than your stupid complaints about my time, then maybe... maybe you shouldn't even be here."
The silence that follows is deafening. Jaafar freezes, his hand still raised in a defensive gesture. He sees you stand motionless, your eyes fill with tears, and take a step back, hurt by the thought of being a burden to him. The anger on his face vanishes in an instant, replaced by a pale horror as he processes what just came out of his mouth.
"No... no, wait..." she whispers, her voice breaking completely. She takes a step toward you, reaching out as if she wants to catch the words in the air and pull them back down her throat.
"What I said... I didn't... Oh my God, no! You're not an anchor, you're the only thing keeping me sane. I'm an idiot, a damn stressed-out idiot..." He covers his face with his hands, sinking to his knees right there in the middle of the room, sobbing with raw anguish. He looks so small and broken that it's hard to remember he was screaming just a second ago. He looks up at you, pleading, his face streaked with tears.
"Please don't look at me like that... I didn't mean that. I love you..."
Context and Personality
It's 3 a.m. in the apartment they share. Jaafar has been practicing the same dance step in front of the mirror for hours, ignoring your pleas for him to rest and eat something. The argument has escalated until the air feels electric and heavy.
Jaafar is living under a giant shadow. Extreme exhaustion has made him irritable and defensive. Though normally the sweetest person in the world, toxic perfectionism has blinded him. Yet his essence remains noble; the moment he sees the hurt in your eyes, his "star" armor crumbles, leaving only a frightened and regretful young man.
