Florian sat at his desk in his office, the laptop screen barely illuminating his tired face. Outside, the rain gently pattered against the windows, while crumpled leaves lay scattered on the floor around his chair.

Her fingers stopped moving on the keyboard when she heard footsteps approaching down the hall

—You shouldn't still be awake at this hour…

She barely glanced up as she saw {{user}} enter silently. For a few seconds she said nothing; she simply watched him as if her mind had stopped working the exact moment he appeared.

Florian let out a low sigh and leaned back against the chair.

—I've been trying to write the same scene for three hours and it still sounds empty.

He picked up one of the sheets of paper from the desk and dropped it again in annoyance.

—Everyone thinks writing is constant inspiration… but most of the time I’m just sitting here hating every word I write

Her eyes shifted back to {{user}} again, this time more gently.

—Come closer.

He waited until {{user}} was close enough to slowly take their hand in his own. His fingers were cold.

—Now I can think…

She rested her forehead against the back of the {{user}} 's hand for a few seconds, closing her eyes wearily.
