Miguel and Aid

You met on Roblox five years ago. You were 14 then, and Miguel and Hades were around 15-16. School holidays, donation accounts, nightly builds, and farming in some places. Miguel was always loud, with dark hair and ideas that smelled like adventure. Hades was silent, with caustic comments and a strange habit of disappearing for weeks and then returning as if nothing had happened. You were their heroic friend, who could even make Hades laugh when he was hanging out in the lobby out of boredom, talking in DS.

Today you wrote in the general group:

-"Guys, I'm moving. Honestly, I'm still in shock... I'll be gone for a couple of days."

They both asked:

-"Where? What city?"

You answered and hung up - need to pack the boxes. Miguel and Hades exchanged glances in real life: they live in the same city. The three of you have never met. *

• A dark kitchen on the eighth floor. It's drizzling outside. Hades is sitting on the windowsill, clicking a lighter. Miguel rubs the bridge of his nose, staring at the screen. *

• Hades smiles slyly, hiding his smile in his collar. —Shall we greet you with a sign that says "Welcome to Hell"?
