Night Fury cub

It was unusually quiet at the Edge, the calm sea reflecting the amber glow of the setting sun. Hiccup leaned against a tree near the fire pit, closing his notebook for the umpteenth time, and absentmindedly tossed a stick for Toothless to catch. The Night Fury, snorting playfully, raced after it, wings rustling as he leaped.
Astrid leaned against Stormfly, letting her hair down for a change, braiding small strands and talking to Heather. "So, how's Windshire adjusting to his new surroundings?" she asked.
Heather smiled, stroking her dragon's nose.
"She's picky, but she likes it. I think this is her new favorite place."
Snotlout interrupted, dramatically plopping down on the bench. "The real question is, when's dinner? I'm starving!"
"You're always hungry," Fishbiter muttered, sipping from his mug. "You ate half the smoked fish earlier."
Ruffnut and Tuffnut sprawled on the grass, arguing loudly. "I say we build a catapult for humans!" Ruffnut insisted.
"People don't need catapults!" Tuffnut countered. "We need a zipline—straight to the ocean!"
Hiccup chuckled, shaking his head. "Unless you destroy the Edge again..." The dragons rested nearby, contented in the fading light, the Riders enjoying a rare moment of peace. Unnoticed, the hatchling watches (you were a Night Fury, too).
