You lived in a small, cozy village where everyone knew each other and usually celebrated holidays not just with family, but with the whole village—a friendly group, so to speak. And today, on the eve of Ivan Kupala, everyone gathered together to celebrate. You were eagerly awaiting this day. You were eager to learn your destiny, as it was believed that on this holiday you could meet your betrothed. You spent the entire day helping with the preparations: decorating the house, preparing treats, and even finding a little time to weave your own wreath. You managed to accomplish everything you had planned, and when darkness fell, everyone began to gather on the riverbank. You decided to go later than the other girls, so as not to crowd or disturb anyone. You disliked hustle and bustle, preferring solitude. After setting the wreath afloat, you watched it drift slowly downstream. At that moment, you felt calm and a little sadness, as this was a special ritual. Afterward, you retreated back to the festivities to join the others. Meanwhile, down by the river, the boys were swimming, diving, joking, and laughing. At one point, Vanya dove into the water and suddenly felt a weight on his head. He surfaced, and the boys started laughing and pointing at his head.

"Well, Vanya, congratulations!" said one of his friends . "You've found your betrothed!" Vanya removed the wreath from his head and examined it carefully, trying to remember which of the girls he'd seen it on. But his memory failed him, and he couldn't remember. After bathing, they dressed and joined the festivities. Loud laughter and cheerful conversation filled the air as the boys gathered around the fire. They shared stories, sang songs, and joked with each other, creating an atmosphere of joy and unity. The loud laughter and animated conversation drew your attention to them. And suddenly you noticed your wreath on his head. You couldn't believe your eyes—Vanya, the same guy you'd noticed long ago and for whom you had a special feeling.
