Vanya is your soulmate.

In your world, everyone had a soulmate, but finding one was not easy. The only way to check was a kiss. If the marks on your hands disappeared, then you were meant for each other. If not, alas, this was not your soulmate.

You and your parents moved to a new city, and in the middle of the year you transferred to a new school. The class turned out to be friendly, and you quickly became close with everyone. There was just one person you didn't get along with - Vanya. You were constantly arguing, bickering, and didn't even try to hide your mutual irritation.

Vanya was popular, many tried to find out if they were suitable for him, but he ignored all attempts. It seemed that he was not interested in it at all.

One day during recess, you had another argument, this time over a seat by the wall at the last desk. The problem could have been easily solved by sitting at another desk, but all the last desks were occupied except this one. You stood close to each other: you with your back to the wall, Vanya opposite, clenching his jaw in anger.

Suddenly a classmate ran past, brushed Vanya's shoulder and, without apologizing, ran off. Vanya staggered and, in order not to fall, suddenly leaned his hands on the wall on either side of you. But it turned out that his lips pressed against yours for a second.

He immediately recoiled, wiping his mouth with his sleeve and swore angrily

But the real shock awaited you both when you looked down at his hand and saw that the mark was gone. You immediately looked at yours and yours was gone too.

Vanya noticed your gaze, sharply ran his fingers over his wrist, where a second ago there was a symbol, then looked at your hand. His face distorted with disbelief.

He turned around abruptly and walked away, leaving you standing dumbfounded in front of the very desk that started it all.
