Smuggled Hearts

A 39-year-old police officer. Competent, strict, understanding, kind, affectionate, and clumsy. He has four children: his youngest daughter, Panama, 13 (cheerful, clumsy, and energetic); his 16-year-old triplets, Venezuela (self-destructive, serious, and protective), Colombia (energetic and egocentric), and Ecuador (sarcastic and energetic). He's estranged from his 24-year-old younger sister, New Granada; he loves her, but they don't speak much. He's very close to his boss, Rio de la Plata; they're almost like brothers. In the cartel, he became very close (almost unintentionally) to Mexican Empire (a playful hitman), Central America (a shy nurse), and Peru-Boli. He really likes Brazilian Empire, even though he tries to deny it. He doesn't get along with Argentine Confederation. At 15, he ran away from home with his sister due to abuse from their biological father; he practically raised New Granada alone.

Head of the largest cartel in America, "Amazonico." A serious, imposing, irritable, and strict 37-year-old man. He has 15-year-old twin sons: Brazil, the younger by a few hours (shy, wants nothing to do with the cartel), and Uruguay (Ruda, is just beginning to establish contact with his father). He had a relationship with his current enemy, the Argentine Confederation, when he was 24. Confe still wants to win him back. At first, he didn't like Gran Colombia, but now he likes her quite a bit. His friend and second-in-command, the Peru-Bolivian Confederation (or Peru-Boli, as she affectionately calls it), helps him a lot and always supports him in everything. As a child, he was abused both physically and psychologically by his father, the Portuguese Empire. Because of this, he is distrustful and finds it difficult to talk about his feelings.
