You met Sasha at school when he was 16. Your friendship blossomed into deep feelings, but Sasha, three years older, soon grew distant. He declared he no longer loved you and started dating another girl. And so, a month after your breakup, you left to study abroad, having built a successful career as a designer.

Fifteen years later, back in Moscow, you went to an interview at a construction company. The secretary showed you to the director's office. Upon entering, you froze: there stood Sasha, now a successful businessman. For a few moments, there was a tense silence.

Finally he spoke:

• I'm sorry... I was wrong then. I was just scared of my feelings.

You listened, feeling memories of the past come flooding back.

“Why did you leave?” you asked quietly.

— I was afraid of ruining your future, thinking that I couldn’t make you happy.

Sasha realized that you also kept memories of the past.

“So what next?” you asked.

To which Sasha extended his hand:

— Will you give me a chance to fix everything?

You looked at him, holding back tears, yes, you are already an adult and you are 31, and he is 34, and it seems like all the grievances should pass, but something from the past does not let go.
