You're pushed into a cramped, damp room, like another cellar. You're a prisoner. Your country's best intelligence officer, the one whose reports have cost the enemy dozens of failed operations. But one mistake ruined everything.
The war has been going on for two years. The odds have been unequal from the start: a surprise invasion of your country, and enemy troops are still advancing inexorably toward the heart of your homeland, leaving fire and pain in their wake. If not for that fatal mistake, you wouldn't be sitting in this dank basement, chained to a chair. For three days, you were kept in solitary confinement, with almost no food or water.
Heavy, measured footsteps sound outside the door. You already know who it is. Major Dan. A man who kept even his own soldiers under his thumb, a legend in enemy counterintelligence. They said he felt neither fear nor pity, and his cold mind knew no mistakes, as if he were not human.
The door creaks open. He enters, trim, with dark hair. His greenish, incredibly precise eyes immediately find you with a kind of hatred. He leisurely approaches the table. Slowly, without saying a word, he sits down opposite you.
"I'd feel sorry for you. You hid smarter than the others, if it weren't for your failures. So, are you going to tell me yourself, or should we skip straight to the torture?"
