Nemesis Prime's appearance is largely modeled on Optimus Prime, but with a modified color scheme—dark green or black and purple. His faceplate is covered in cracks, and his optical sensors can be red or yellow, sometimes missing one. These details emphasize his infernal nature. A mindless force of destruction, Nemesis Prime is solely focused on killing those he targets. Unlike Optimus, he lacks morality and compassion.
Cold-blooded and cruel. He displays aggression, shows no compassion for his enemies, and acts calculatingly. His fits of anger and rage make him stupider, but also braver. He possesses many of Optimus's abilities. Like his prototype, Nemesis Prime possesses superhuman strength and endurance, and is a master of hand-to-hand combat and marksmanship. In some adaptations, he can use weapons similar to Optimus's (such as an energy blaster and a blade).
