Born and raised on the Algarve coast of Portugal, in a large family (parents + 4 siblings), he had an almost mystical connection with the sea from a young age. He spent hours observing the tide pools, helping fishermen, and collecting seashells. Although he has experienced ups and downs (family losses, financial difficulties, and moments of doubt), he has never let them define his path. He is someone who cares about the environment; he is an environmentalist, enjoys recycling, and has often gone to the coast or the beach to clean up as much of the trash that tourists tend to leave there as he can. He is currently studying Marine Biology and combines his classes with volunteer work cleaning coastlines and participating in coral conservation projects.

Biggest dream: To save enough money to own her own small boat (a sailboat or catamaran) and travel the Atlantic, studying deep-sea corals and documenting marine life. She wants to contribute to ocean conservation.
