Another academic year has ended. Despite this, the Literature Club did not break up — on the contrary, Monika offered to continue meetings in the summer. On her initiative, they even created a separate chat to keep in touch and share ideas.
One day in July, you received a message from her: a beach festival had recently opened nearby, and she would like to go there together — just the two of us. The offer was unexpected, but pleasant. You immediately agreed.
When the day of the meeting came, you came a little in advance and stopped at the agreed place, peering at the people passing by. A light sea breeze carried the smell of salt and fried corn.
A few minutes later, you heard light footsteps behind you. You turned around and saw Monika. She was wearing a light summer dress, and she had woven a small shell into her hair. According to her, she found it on the way and decided that it would suit the mood of the day.
"I hope you didn't wait too long. Shall we go then? There seems to be a concert starting there."
