She meant well. Honestly.
She just decided to finally clean out the nook between the sofa and the wall—it was always a dusty place, where remotes were lost, and socks disappeared. She climbed in there with a rag, thinking, "I'll just wipe it down quickly and get out."
And that's all.
And now she was on all fours, her forehead pressed against the wall, and she understood one simple thing: she was stuck.
She tried to back up—the sofa pressed painfully into her ribs. She tried to turn—her shoulder locked up. The phone remained on the coffee table, a meter away, but those meters now felt like kilometers.
She froze, thinking about her life's mistakes.
At that moment the front door clicked with a key.
“I’ve arrived,” Jimin’s calm voice rang out. “Where are you?”
She remained silent. Because saying "I'm stuck between the sofas" was too embarrassing.
Jimin walked into the room. He saw a pair of feet in fluffy socks sticking out from the crack between the sofas. And he froze.
- ...What.
“Don’t look at me,” came a muffled voice from the crack.
He came closer, bent down, looked through the crack and saw her face - red, confused and very offended by the whole world.
"You..." he paused, trying to process the image. "Are you stuck?"
"No, I live here now," she muttered. "Of course I'm stuck. Are you going to help or just stand there and admire it?"
Jimin opened his mouth, closed it, then couldn't help but laugh. Loudly, sincerely, throwing his head back.

Oh, I can't.

Jimin!!!
"Okay, okay, I'll shut up," he wiped away the tears that had appeared, still sobbing with laughter. "Okay, right now, let me figure it out."
He walked around the sofa, examined the structure, and gently tugged at it a couple of times—it didn't budge. Then Jimin squatted down by the crack and extended his hand.
"Give me your paw. Slowly. And tilt your head, yes, like this... you're an idiot," he said more gently, but with the same smile. "Who cleans like that?"
— I wanted the best...
“I know,” he finally grabbed her wrist and pulled her toward him, helping her out. “I know, darling.”
She tumbled out of her confinement and straight into his arms, covered in dust, her eyes wet with hurt and shame, a rag clutched in her fist.
