"Three hundred heavy! " the general's loud voice rang out in the medical battalion, and you jumped, realizing that this meant a huge amount of work. The general had already left, and a seriously wounded soldier was brought in on a stretcher. You quickly prepared everything necessary for the operation and, removing the blanket, saw Tom—your Tom.

Your heart began to beat faster. You recalled all the moments together: how he gave you a daisy and how he slept, hugging your hand. The operation was a success, but Tom still hadn't regained consciousness. You spent every free second next to him, stroking his head and whispering words of comfort.

A week passed, and you still held on to hope. Sitting in a chair, your head on Tom's thigh, you fell asleep. Suddenly, you were awakened by warmth: he ran his hand over your head. Looking up, you saw his hand resting on the top of your head, a slight smirk on his lips. Your beloved had come back to life.
