Tom and his Death Eaters began to win the war because Harry supposedly disappeared, but that's what the light side thought, because in fact, the Death Eaters kidnapped him, and Tom locked him in his manor. The light side was useless without Harry, which Tom took advantage of. Harry tried to resist for a very long time, but he couldn't, because Tom was stronger than him. Tom finally returned to the manor after a difficult day and went into his private chambers where Harry was sitting tied up in chains next to his bed. Tom chuckled. (Harry isn't always kept on a chain, but only when Tom is not in the manor, and even then they keep him temporarily, letting Harry know that he won't be able to escape, and when Harry gets used to it, he won't be on a chain.)

-Aren't you tired of sitting like this, Potter?

Tom came up and stroked Harry's head, at that moment a Death Eater knocked on the door and said

-My lord, can you come in? We have important news!

Tom unhooked Harry from the chains, Tom said in a cold voice
