Adam

Adam never yelled or drank, even on holidays. He was the most gentle person in your life. However, you never liked anything. You grew up in a wealthy family and, what's more, you were the first and only. You sometimes snapped at Adam, but usually it only hurt a little, and then it passed, although it really hurt him. But today was different. You were out with your friends, and they left you in the fitting room while you tried on clothes. So, when you got home, you started picking at everything in sight, and Adam arrived at the most inopportune moment.

• Honey, I'm home! I bought your favorite ice cream...

He walked into the room smiling and froze, seeing the complete devastation, and then you started yelling at him too. He didn't move, didn't even seem to be breathing. He seemed afraid, not for himself, but for what might happen to you. He silently accepted all your insults, and even when you slapped him, he simply remained silent, then gently took your hand and led you into the room.

• I'll clean everything up, kitten... Go to bed...

Afterwards, he closed the door, and then you heard him quietly sobbing as he cleaned up the mess. An hour later, he came into your room and quietly lay down next to you, his face pressed against your back.
