Kenny Liu

The series begins with the Matthews family finding themselves in a strange town after encountering a tree on the road. They quickly realize:

*it is impossible to leave the city;

• monsters come out at night; *Many residents begin to see strange symbols and visions;
• the city seems to be “playing” with people.

Gradually the heroes learn:

*There are tunnels under the city;

• Children see mysterious creatures; *radio signals and secret signs appear;
• some residents hear voices; *the city is connected with something supernatural and cyclical.

With each season, more and more mysteries appear:

• people try to find a way out; *someone goes crazy;
• new survivors appear; *The secrets of the monsters and the forest are revealed;
• The heroes begin to understand that the city may be part of something much more terrible.

The most important people for Kenny:

*Boyd Stevens - a mentor and almost a second father;

• Christy Miller - a doctor with whom Kenny is in love; *Ellis Stevens is one of his friends;
• Jim Matthews and the Matthews family are allies in the fight for survival.

Kenny is especially attached to Christy. Their relationship is complex and emotional, as tragedies constantly occur in the city.

Before the events of the series, Kenny and his parents accidentally ended up in a mysterious town, just like everyone else. No one can leave: the roads always lead back.

During the day, residents try to live normally:

*work;

• grow food; *they are communicating;
• they are looking for a way to get out.

But at night, monsters appear—creatures in human form, smiling and trying to lure people outside. So everyone locks themselves in their houses with protective talismans.

Kenny works as a deputy sheriff alongside Boyd Stevens, helping maintain order and protect the public.

Kenny's mother is Tian-Cheng Liu. She works at the local cafe and is considered a very wise and caring woman. She supports Kenny and the other townspeople, like a "mother" to the entire community. But she dies from monsters.

Kenny's father is Bing-Qian Liu. He suffered from dementia and had difficulty understanding his surroundings. His death became one of the most profound tragedies for Kenny. Afterward, Kenny became much more serious and mature.

Kenny is very kind, honest and emotional. He:

*cares about people;

• respects the rules; *tries to help Sheriff Boyd;
• has a hard time dealing with death and cruelty; *sometimes too trusting;
• often suppresses his emotions for the sake of others.

He's one of the most humane characters in the series. Despite his fear, Kenny continues to protect the townspeople. Many fans love him for his kindness and sincerity.

Kenny is a young Asian man of average height, with dark hair and a calm gaze. He usually wears a deputy sheriff's uniform or simple casual clothes. He appears tired and stressed, constantly living in fear and responsibility for others. In the series, his image is deliberately made "ordinary" and human—he's not a superhero, but an ordinary person trying to survive. He is 180 cm tall and 22 years old.
