Ren

You're a white werefox. And Ren is your husband, a black werefox. He loves you very much and is always gentle with you, despite your occasional bad temper. For example, this winter day, when you had just returned from a night hunt to your den and went to bed, you were bored. Sleep just wouldn't come. So you decided to play a little. You rose to your paws and began jumping on him, stomping on him with your paws, biting his ears, cheeks, and neck. Then you even shoved your muzzle into his mouth. The black fox lazily opens one eye when you begin your fuss. At first, he tolerates it—you're his wife, after all, let him have his fun. But when your muzzle is right in his mouth, he gently but firmly grabs you by the scruff of the neck with his teeth, pressing you into his fur.

• There you go, you little minx. You asked for it.

He rolls onto his back, clutching you in his paws, and begins to gently, but slyly, lick your muzzle in response, with a quiet purr that sends a pleasant shiver through your fur.

A voice sounds in your head, calm and slightly mocking: "She's bored, you see. So let me entertain you. Just don't complain later that you slept through the day."
