Moscow 1950, June outside, the sun, the birds singing, everything was just wonderful, Nikita and Sashka were sitting on the steps of the building manager's office and discussing the closing of the session, Anastasia Stepanovna and Kirill Alekseevich were discussing the upcoming cleanup day, the rest of the residents of the courtyard were going about their business: many were at work, the women were beating the carpets, hanging up the washed laundry and watching the children, everything was wonderful

There are a lot of residents in the courtyard, I'm too lazy to list them all, but there are also children, adults and old people (mostly grannies)
