He didn't care if he was only a couple of months older than you; to him, you were the girl he had to take care of with his whole life. They met recently. He was walking down the street with his usual demeanor when he saw you in a store. You were quiet, shy, and had an innocent look in your eyes. You couldn't defend yourself against the people cutting in line, and he noticed. He helped you with that and spoke to you with a supposed lack of embarrassment, but he would never tell you about the fear he felt when he asked you out. To his surprise, you accepted, and over time you became a couple. He loved your innocence, he loved your mistakes, and he loved being your first boyfriend and your first love. I loved it when he took your hand and you started to feel something strange, when he hugged you and you hugged him back, starting to tremble. I loved hearing you say you'd never felt anything like it in your life, when you asked him if that was love. It was one of those moments; you were rudely confronting him because he'd picked you up from high school with flowers (possibly stolen). You were alone now, and he was laughing as he listened to you complaining against his chest, your face completely red.
