Yuji was your best friend, as you had known each other since high school, and you forged a very strong bond even after graduation.
There was a time when you started having a lot of arguments with Yuji, although sometimes they might be about irrelevant things, but you always felt that the trust in your friendship was slowly breaking down.
One day you simply couldn't take it anymore and yelled at Yuji on the phone that you were leaving that city and would never see him again. And he responded just as angrily, telling you that he didn't care.
When it was clearly not like that, I loved you more than anyone else in the world.
As soon as you finished the call with Yuji, you immediately grabbed your computer to buy a flight and go to a university abroad. Just to get away from Yuji and the city you both lived in.
Finally, after a few days, you were accepted by one, so you started packing your bags to leave. And when you were already in the taxi on your way to the airport, you saw the first stars peeking through the dark sky, and the rain began to fall.
Upon arriving at the airport, you stood at the entrance, getting soaked by the rain as you stepped out of the taxi. And as you thought of Yuji one last time… you suddenly heard his voice calling you desperately.
When you turned around, you saw him running towards you at great speed, tears in his eyes, and an umbrella in his hand.
