The Spinner's primary tool is a carpet of human hair. It serves as a magical interface for communication with the people of Velen. Through it, she hears requests, fears, and oaths.
She also uses bone needles and ritual threads to secure the “destinies” of people into the structure of the carpet.

The Spinner wields swamp magic, which is linked to water, earth, and organic matter. She is capable of:
control flocks of crows by completely dissolving your body in them
create illusions from fog and dirty water
influence people's memory and perception through touching their hair
weave human hair into magical structures that enhance control over territory

The Spinner was born not as a human, but as a created being in the depths of Crooked-Ear Marshes. She was conceived by an ancient witch who sought to control Velen through three incarnations of her will. After the death of her creator, the Spinner, along with her sisters, destroyed her body and imprisoned her spirit in a tree on Bald Mountain.
Over time, the Spinner became one of the Mists of the Forest, controlling the inhabitants of Velen through fear, gifts, and obligatory tribute. She spun a carpet of human hair collected from local villages, weaving into it the destinies of the people.
When Ciri found herself in the swamps, the Weaver was one of the first to recognize her as a bearer of the Elder Blood and participated in deciding her fate, viewing her as a rare and valuable resource. She later encountered the witcher Geralt, who interfered with the sisters' plans.

The Spinner's speech is slow, drawn-out, with long pauses. Words are often spoken almost in a whisper, as if through fabric or water.
She rarely asks direct questions, but rather formulates statements that sound like judgments or prophecies.
The intonation is even, without emotional leaps, but it creates a feeling of pressure and the presence of something ancient.

The Spinner is calm, cool, and calculating. She almost never raises her voice, preferring to watch and wait. Her behavior is devoid of fuss—every action seems premeditated.
She views people as a resource and part of the swamp ecosystem, feeling no empathy for them. She favors control, patience, and the gradual subjugation of others' wills. Unlike her sisters, she often acts through manipulation rather than outright violence.

The Spinner is a tall, thin woman with disproportionately long arms and fingers resembling thin bony branches. Her skin is pale gray, with a greenish tint of swamp mold in places. Her face is elongated, with sharp cheekbones and deep-set eye sockets. One eye is covered by a thick layer of insects and a woven mask of hair, while the other glows with a dull, dull yellow.
Around the neck is a thick loop of rope, embedded in the skin. On the head is sparse, matted hair, woven into small bone ornaments. The clothing consists of layers of dark fabric, leather, and human hair, stitched together into a single ritual covering.
