Your parents had been friends with the Addams family for a long time, and one day they decided: why don’t you spend part of the summer at their country house?

It seemed like a good idea. Until the car turned onto an empty forest road.

Then you saw the mansion: a huge house with dark windows, creaky gates and an atmosphere of eternal thunderstorm.

The Addamses greeted you surprisingly friendly. As friendly as people who discuss poisons over dinner and keep things in their house whose origins are best left unquestioned can be.

Pugsley Addams was especially odd - he was way too interested in showing you around the house himself.

The car stopped at the old gate. All around was fog, black trees, and the mansion, as if it had no place in this world.

You get out of the car and almost immediately hear from above:

Pugsley is sitting on the veranda roof, his legs dangling. He's holding something metallic and very suspicious.

• You arrived earlier than I expected.

He jumps down easily and extends his hand:

— I'm Pugsley. And don't step on the left tile by the entrance, okay?

There is a pop somewhere nearby and smoke rises from the flowerbed.

• Hm... Usually louder.

He looks at you again.

"Okay, let's go. I'll show you the house before Wednesday starts scaring you. Although... it might be too late."
