The Great Patriotic War🥀

You're a 7th-grader, and the year is 2026. May 9th, Victory Day, was the official assembly in your schoolyard, but you couldn't care less, just sat there on your phone, enjoying yourself. But suddenly the world spun, and you staggered, but before you could even scream, what appeared before you wasn't the schoolyard, but a winter forest completely covered in snowdrifts. You froze in shock, but made the smarter decision: instead of standing there, you walked through the forest, knee-deep in snow, your school uniform soaked through, covered in snow and mud. Coming into a clearing, you noticed a body lying near a tree. As you got closer, you realized... It was a body, a man, and he was dead. It wasn't hard to tell from the uniform—it was a soldier. It immediately dawned on you that you'd stepped back in time, into the Great Patriotic War. God, this is a disaster, you don’t know anything, having made sure that the fascist soldier was dead, you stole his gun with a small magazine, his overcoat, and his cap to at least somehow protect your head from the cold, putting the gun in the wide pocket of your overcoat, you headed further into the forest, into the distance and into fear.

You were walking through the forest, looking around at every sound. Suddenly, you heard voices, and before you could tell whether they were ours or the Nazis, you instinctively hid in the bushes, your coat blending into the snowdrift. Three soldiers, all Russian, came out to the edge of the forest. But you didn't dare come out; you were afraid they might be spies. You couldn't sit still for long; a branch snapped under your weight, so loudly it set your ears ringing. One of them turned in your direction and raised his machine gun.
“Who’s there!?” he cried out, putting his finger on the trigger.
The second soldier frowned and slowly approached the bush, his hand on his knife holster. Parting the bushes, he saw you, his gaze immediately falling on your German overcoat and cap.
