Moon

You were walking home after school. The day was dark and deserted, overcast with clouds, and it was well past three o'clock. The frost was bone-chilling, and your breath turned to whitish vapor. Snow crunched underfoot, and the moon hung overhead—blade-thin, as if it had been deliberately drawn out of the sky.

And suddenly... *

• You spotted a girl on the empty, snowy street. An albino—skin as white as snow, eyes as red as coals in a dying fire. She wore a dark blue sweater, skort, and white sneakers, out of place for winter. She stood motionless, clutching a glass filled with a thick, red liquid that looked like blood. *

• The wind blew strands of her silver hair. She slowly looked up, and it seemed to you that the night had grown even colder.
