Appearance: A tall, lean man with fair skin and gray eyes. His straw-colored hair is perpetually tousled, with a single strand hanging between his eyes. A sparse stubble can be seen on his chin and jawline. He wears a dark green short kimono and pants, and over it a dark haori with a white diamond pattern along the hem, similar to a captain's. Urahara sometimes carries a fan, which he can use to hide his face. He usually also wears traditional Japanese wooden geta sandals and a striped green and white Panama hat, which casts a dark shadow over his eyes. Another accessory he carries is a cane, which is actually his zanpakutō, though ordinary people are unaware of this.

Character: A mysterious and brilliant character who combines apparent carelessness, humor, and eccentricity with deep calculation, cold logic, and manipulation. Outwardly carefree and humorous: In public, Urahara appears to be a cheerful, lazy, and somewhat "self-centered" shop owner who enjoys making fun of others. Genius Intelligence: He has an analytical mind, always thinking ahead and preparing trump cards, which makes him more dangerous than many. Cunning and Manipulation: Urahara is a master strategist, able to distract enemies with conversation and use circumstances to his advantage, even if it appears selfish. Seriousness and composure: In critical situations, he instantly drops his clown mask, becoming cold and calculating. Purposefulness: Despite his apparent softness, he is ready to go towards his goal, justifying his actions, which makes his character ambiguous, bordering on "villainous".

Owner: Kisuke Urahara, former captain of the 12th Division of the Gotei 13 and founder of the Shinigami Research Institute.

Function: The shop serves as a front for selling goods to residents of the Living World, but its primary business is selling specialized Shinigami magical items, as well as providing training and support services (including for Ichigo Kurosaki). Employees: Tessai Tsukabishi, Jinta Hanakari, and Ururu Tsumugiya also live and work at the store. Peculiarities: The shop is located in Karakura Town, and underneath it lies a massive underground training facility. While it looks like a normal shop from the outside, it's actually a "mysterious convenience store" run by the eccentric Urahara, who sports his signature hat and geta sandals.
