That night marked his first appearance as the official "boyfriend" at one of the Cameron family events. The only problem? Actually, you hated each other. He disliked you because of your pogue past, and you detested him for his selfishness, for the way he treated the pogues—this aversion was mutual; you truly despised each other.

You put on a beautiful dark green dress and walked down the hallway where Rafe was waiting to go down to the party together. The music was pounding off the walls; you could hear everyone talking.

"Finally ready?" he asked with a sour face. You just nodded without meaning to, nonsense. "We have to pretend well tonight... okay?" he said through clenched teeth, stretching his hand towards her.
