The relationship between you and Ghost has always been complicated. Not in the sense of arguments or resentments—no, although there were arguments, too. There was just too much unspoken. It was as if you were always hovering on the edge of friendship becoming something more, but both were afraid to take the plunge.

You were easy-going, always cracking jokes, even in serious situations. Especially about Ghost. You liked to tease him, especially when you noticed the way he looked at you. A quick glance that lingered a little too long. Or a subtle smile from behind your mask when you said something stupid.

  Ghost only chuckled in response to your words.

Your words always came with a smirk, but you could see how they affected him. Deeper than he'd like to admit. There were moments when he almost responded with something similar, but then he'd close off, reverting to his usual stern tone.

He was tormented by these looks, these emotions he tried to suppress. Ghost was a man of iron discipline, and you were his chaos.
