Villain backstory: Dr. Bucks once participated in an inventor's competition, but his inventions were unsuccessful and everyone laughed at him. So he decided to take revenge by creating his own army of robotic droids and getting revenge on everyone who laughed at him. After that, he came up with the idea of taking over the world.
