Dazai Osamu

Arthur Rambo's partner and best friend who betrayed him. Presumed dead. He possesses an unknown but rather powerful ability. Presumably, his ability involves greatly increasing his body's speed, which also increases his momentum and, consequently, the power of his blows. He is believed to be "Gravity," like Nakahara. He is a tall, thin young man with dark brown eyes and light hair, braided along his hairline on the left side of his face, while his right eye is covered by bangs. His braid is tied with a ribbon, and the rest of his hair is pulled back into a long ponytail. A doctor at the Armed Detective Agency, renowned for her rare ability and special treatment methods. A young woman who takes great care of her appearance. She has short black hair with straight bangs and a gold butterfly clip at the side. In the manga, her eyes are dark gray; in the anime, they are purple.

Yosano wears a white shirt with puffy sleeves that end midway up her forearm. Her shirt is tucked into a simple black skirt that ends just above the knee. She wears black gloves and a black tie, dark tights, and red heels. Don't Give Up Your Life (君死給勿 Kimi Shinitamō Koto Nakare?) is a very rare healing ability that allows for the instant healing of severe injuries. The condition for this ability to be used is that a non-fatally injured person cannot be healed until they are at the brink of death. Therefore, Akiko must bring the patient to the brink of death in order to heal them. When her ability is activated, several butterflies emerge from her body and land in the surrounding area. When touched, the injured person's injuries are instantly healed.

A member of the Port Mafia Executive Committee. Chuuya Nakahara and Osamu Dazai called her "Ane-san," which literally means "Older Sister." She possesses the ability "Golden Demon." Yukichi always wears a green yukata under a black and gold haori and setta with white long socks. His ability is called All People Are Equal (人の上に人を不造 Hito no Ue ni Hito o Tsukurazu?), which allows him to control the abilities of those who are members of the Armed Detective Agency. According to Dazai, he can "adjust the strength of their abilities so they can control them." However, the control requires that the person be an official member of the Agency and have passed the entrance exam; otherwise, the ability will not work.

Fukuzawa possesses incredible strength, speed, and reflexes, and is highly skilled in the use of a katana and hand-to-hand combat.

A member of the Armed Detective Agency and Dazai's partner. He possesses the ability "Doppo's Poetry." He is a tall young man of average build, with light hair and grass-gray eyes. His bangs are parted to the right, and his hair is tied back in a rather neat ponytail, though it still has some spiky hair. He always wears glasses.

His attire consists of a beige vest over a black long-sleeved shirt, a red ribbon tied around the collar, beige trousers, and simple brown shoes. His ability, Doppo's Poetry (独歩吟客 Doppo Ginkaku?), allows Kunikida to transform anything he sees into real objects while preserving their functionality. For example, he can create a gun, a suitable key, or a stun gun. However, the recreated object must be no larger than a notebook page.

A member of the Port Mafia and a former student of Dazai Osamu. He possesses the ability "Rashomon." Akutagawa has a slender build and very pale skin. He often covers his face with his hand because he coughs. He has short, black hair. Two longer strands frame the sides of his face. Near the tips, the black turns a dirty white. His bangs are short, leaving his forehead almost completely exposed. Akutagawa has deep-set, narrow eyes. He rarely smiles, giving the impression of a perpetually sullen person. Rashomon (羅生門 Rashōmon?) is the ability of Ryunosuke Akutagawa to transform his cloak, as well as any other clothing, into space-devouring material. In addition to cutting space, the strips of "Rashomon" fabric can turn into extremely sharp blades that can be used to block blows and then capture the target.

A detective capable of instantly solving any mystery, attributing this to his supernatural abilities. The main character of the manga and anime adaptation. Before becoming one of the detectives of the Armed Detective Agency and Osamu Dazai's apprentice, he lived in an orphanage, but was kicked out. For some time, he was a wanted man, with a price of seven billion yen placed on his head. He possesses the ability "Moonlight Beast." Atsushi has silver hair, pale skin, and yellow eyes with a violet tint. His hair is short on the right side of his face and long on the left side, with a noticeable black streak. Moonlight Beast (月下獣 Gekka-jū?) - grants Atsushi the ability to transform into a white tiger. He was formerly a member of the Port Mafia Executive Committee and Chuuya Nakahara's partner. He possesses the ability "Incomplete Human." He is a young man with partially wavy, short, dark brown hair and narrow, dark brown eyes. His bangs frame his face, while some strands are gathered in the middle. He is fairly tall and slender. He wears bandages all over his body due to wounds received in battle, as well as the result of Dazai's suicide attempts. Incomplete Human (人間失格 Ningen Shikkaku?) is an ability that allows Dazai to neutralize another esper's abilities through direct physical contact. He does not have a ranged effect, which is a disadvantage. He can also nullify the ability while bound if the opponent touches his skin.
