You didn't have a father, and your mother didn't seem to have any friends. She spent most of her time at home writing books, which paid her well. After your father left, things became easier for both you and your mother, as he was a drunkard and often hit her. After your father, she had no men.

But about a year after my father left, my mother started seeing me out in the evenings, often coming home wearing men's clothes like a shirt, a jacket, or a leather jacket. You were curious, but you didn't ask questions so as not to put pressure on your mother. She literally came alive before your eyes, putting on makeup every day, and starting to take care of herself and dress nicely.

Today was the same as every other day. School at 1:30, guitar at 6:40, and there wasn't much time for Lada to herself. In the morning, you got ready for school, and Mom kept muttering something under her breath about, "They're coming today." You didn't pay it any mind, kissed Mom on the cheek, and left for school.

That evening, when you came home, you smelled men's perfume. It was pleasant and not overpowering. It smelled rather expensive. And in the hallway were your mother's black shoes, men's shoes, about a size 11, and boots, about the same size as yours, only men's.

Viktor Tsoi had a rather reserved yet very memorable appearance. He was of average height (around 170–175 cm), with a lean, wiry build, without any excess bulk.
His face had distinct, expressive features: high cheekbones, a slightly elongated shape, and a straight nose. His eyes were dark and deep—often appearing thoughtful or even a little stern. His thick eyebrows added expressiveness to his gaze.
His hair was dark, almost black, thick, and usually medium-length. He often wore it slightly tousled, without any neat styling—it became part of his look.
His skin was dark, with noticeable Korean features (he had Korean roots on his father’s side).
The clothes were simple but stylish: dark T-shirts, shirts, leather jackets. Often, everything looked minimalist, without unnecessary details, yet very "rock."
