📉 Starting and Weakness Ranges
Rank F (Latent Magic/Spark): The lowest level. The crystal barely reacts with a faint glow. Magic is almost useless in combat; for example, fire magic at this rank is only good for lighting a candle.
Rank E (Minor Magic): The user can manifest their element in a controlled but very limited way. It requires a lot of effort for basic spells, and magical exhaustion is rapid.
⚔️ Combat and Utility Ranks
Rank D (Adept Magic): This is the standard for ordinary soldiers and mages. It allows for defense and the casting of stable attack spells. Fire magic at this level can create small projectiles such as fireballs.
Rank C (Veteran Magic): The student has mastered the basics with fluency. The crystal shines brightly and emits a clear pulse. Elemental walls or medium-area attacks can be conjured.
🏆 Elite and Mastery Ranks
Rank B (High Magic/Expert): A level reserved for the academy's best students. The user can manipulate their environment and perform magic without the need for lengthy chants or channeling.
Rank A (Master Magic): The crystal resonates with a metallic sound and intense light. Those who possess this rank can destroy entire structures or alter the weather on a small scale.
🌟 Legendary Ranks (The "Lucky Ones")
S-Rank (Calamity Magic): Extremely rare. Upon touching the crystal, it emits a shockwave. The user possesses the power of an army; for example, an S-Rank fire can reduce an entire forest to ashes in seconds.
SS/EX Rank (Transcendent Magic): The highest known level in Vaelora. The crystal changes color completely (often to pure gold or black). It is a power that defies the laws of nature and usually awakens unique abilities or lost magic.

At Vaelora Academy, pure humans are the institution's "wild cards": they lack the imposing physical features and supernatural instincts of hybrid races, but compensate with unparalleled magical and creative adaptability.
While hybrids are born with a strong biological inclination towards certain elements or fighting styles, humans are like blank canvases capable of mastering any branch of the Mana Crystal.
👥 Humans in Vaelora: Versatility and Ambition
Physiology and Appearance: Physically ordinary compared to hybrids, but distinguished by their use of runic markings or tattoos that glow when they channel mana. They typically wear modified uniforms with pockets for artifacts, scrolls, and potions.
Magical Advantage: Pure adaptability. A human can specialize in Arcane Magic and, at the same time, learn Transmutation. They lack the instinctive limitations that sometimes bind hybrids.
Role in the Academy: They are usually the best inventors, researchers of magical theory, and combat strategists. Their lack of claws or keen senses is compensated for by ingenuity and magical technology.

🌌 Rare and Forbidden Crystal Variants
If the Mana Crystal does not display a solid color, but a visual anomaly, it means you possess one of the following three rare variants:

1. Chaos and Distortion Magic (Apeiron)
   Visual Effect of the Crystal: The prism begins to crack visually and emits flashes of impossible colors (tones that do not exist in the visible spectrum). The surrounding air becomes dense, and the crystal appears to "flicker" or become detached from reality.
   Specialties: Altering the laws of physics, manipulating probability (making the impossible happen) and the ability to disintegrate or mutate the magic of others.
2. Echo Magic or Mimicry (Resonance)
   The Crystal's Visual Effect: The interior becomes a perfect mirror. When you touch it, it doesn't shine on its own, but rather reflects the exact magic of the person closest to you at that moment.
   Specialties: Temporarily copying the magical abilities of other mages just by seeing them, absorbing spells to return them, and tuning into any type of mana without restrictions.
3. Void Magic or Nullification (Nulla)
   Visual Effect of the Crystal: It doesn't shine, change color, or reflect anything. It becomes completely transparent and cold, like ordinary glass. It temporarily turns off all the magic lights in the room.
   Special abilities: Total immunity to spells, ability to drain mana from other mages through physical touch, and "turn off" magic in a given area.

By touching the crystal, your magic will be defined in one of the following six main branches:

1. Elemental Magic (Caelum & Terra)
   Crystal Visuals: It bursts into crimson flames, blue streams like water, golden flashes of lightning, or a deep green of nature.
   Specialties: Control of the four basic elements (fire, water, air, earth) and their derivatives such as lightning or ice.
2. Arcane Magic (Sidus)
   Crystal Visuals: It turns a deep, starry violet, as if it contained an entire galaxy inside.
   Specialties: Manipulation of space-time, teleportation, creation of pure energy barriers, and divination of timelines.
3. Light Magic (Aura)
   Visual of the Crystal: It emits a blinding, warm white glow that fills the entire room with a feeling of peace and purity.
   Specialties: Advanced healing, purification of curses, creation of sacred illusions and protective shields against darkness.
4. Shadow Magic (Tenebris)
   Crystal Visuals: The light inside is completely extinguished, turning into absolute black that seems to absorb the light from the room.
   Specialties: Shadow control, stealth magic, summoning void entities, and controlled necromancy.
5. Alchemical or Transmutation Magic (Mutatio)
   Crystal Visuals: Changes in visual texture, appearing to momentarily become liquid gold, molten glass, or mercury.
   Specialties: Alteration of matter, creation of magical artifacts, and transmutation of physical elements.
6. Mental or Psychic Magic (Mens)
   Crystal Visual: It pulses with an electric turquoise color and emits a harmonic buzz that resonates directly in the minds of those present.
   Specialties: Telepathy, telekinesis, mind control, memory reading, and astral projection.

The Mana Crystal of Vaelora is a colossal, twelve-sided prismatic structure that levitates in the center of the academy's Great Spire, throbbing with a constant pulse and projecting flashes of pure, ever-changing light according to the soul of whoever approaches it.
🔮 The Mana Crystal: The Prism of Truth
The Crystal has no fixed color; it is of absolute transparency, similar to a pure diamond. However, its interior harbors an ethereal mist that reacts to the proximity of a student.
The Touch: By placing your hands on its cold facets, the crystal vibrates and draws out a small spark of your inner energy.
The Reaction: The inner fog swirls and bursts into specific colors, revealing the nature and potential of your magic.

✨ Talents that influence Mana
In Vaelora, not all students manipulate mana in the same way. There are innate talents (genetic traits or blessings) that completely change how a student interacts with this energy:

1. The Talents of Absorption and Storage
   Infinite Reserve (Mana Well): The student possesses an abnormally large core. They can cast high-level spells consecutively without suffering from magical exhaustion.
   Passive Absorption (Aether Breathing): Allows you to automatically absorb mana from the environment while fighting. It is common among Kitsune and Cervidae.
   Mana Drain (Mana Vampirism): A rare and forbidden talent that allows you to steal mana from an opponent through physical contact or magical threads (typical of Arachne).
2. The Control and Emission Talents
   Extreme Compression (Mana Density): The student can compress their mana until it becomes as dense as steel. A simple low-level fire spell can destroy a high-level one.
   Silent Casting: The ability to instantly manipulate mana with the mind, bypassing magical incantations. It is the most coveted talent in duels.

🔮 What is Manna?
Mana is the fuel of magic. It can be understood through three states or forms within a mage or demi-human:
Ambient Mana (Aether): The pure energy that floats in the atmosphere. Mages absorb it to avoid depleting their own reserves.
Mana Core: A spiritual organ located near the heart or navel where energy is stored and refined. Its color and size determine the mage's rank.
Mana Channels (Veins): The spiritual circulatory system that transports energy from the core to the extremities to cast spells.

🐇 The Leporidae (Semi-rabbits)
Often underestimated because of their cute appearance, but feared for their reflexes and time magic.
Physical characteristics: Long rabbit ears, either droopy or erect, and a small, round tail.
Magical Affinity: Acceleration magic, enhanced spatial perception, and healing magic.
Status in Vaelora: They are the best students of support and alchemy. Their reaction speed makes them almost untouchable in practice duels.
🐉 The Draconis (Half-dragons)
One of the most imposing and respected hybrid races, direct descendants of the sacred beasts.
Physical characteristics: Small horns on the forehead, patches of shiny scales on the cheeks and arms, and reptilian tails with spikes.
Magical affinity: Magic of mass destruction, ancient fire, and absolute resistance to the elements.
Status in Vaelora: Few enter each year. They occupy the highest positions in the combat rankings and are usually class delegates.
🐺 The Lycanis (Half-wolves)
They are known as the warriors of the academy because of their pack spirit and immense physical strength.
Physical characteristics: Pointed wolf ears that react to emotions and furry, expressive tails.
Magical Affinity: Magic of physical strengthening, speed, and mana tracking.
Status in Vaelora: They usually lead the combat clubs and the discipline committee due to their strong sense of loyalty and order.
🦊 The Kitsune (Multi-tailed Half-Foxes)
One of the rarest, most mystical and elegant races in the academy, famous for its intellect and beauty.
Physical characteristics: Soft fox ears and fluffy tails. The number of tails (up to nine) indicates their level of magical power.
Magical affinity: Illusion magic, spiritual fire (kitsunebi) and mind manipulation.
Status in Vaelora: They excel in the departments of arcane magic and diplomacy. They are considered the intellectual elite among demi-humans.

🐍 The Ophidian (Half-serpents)
Intriguing and mysterious, these students are known for their cool demeanor, elegance, and penetrating gaze.
Physical characteristics: Fine, shiny scales on the cheekbones or neck, eyes with vertical pupils, and in some cases, a long snake-like tail instead of legs (lamias).
Magical affinity: Poison magic, temporary petrification, and hypnosis charms.
Status in Vaelora: They are the best in the Potions and Poisons class. Although many fear them due to prejudice, they are usually very diligent and reserved students.
🐻 The Ursus (Semi-bears)

The Harpy (Semi-birds)
The owners of the skies of Vaelora, known for their free spirit and their love of magical music.
Physical characteristics: Feathered wings instead of arms (or sprouting from its back) and light claws.
Magical affinity: Wind magic, acoustics, and long-distance telepathy.
Status in Vaelora: They are the official messengers of the academy and the kings of aerial exploration.
🐅 The Tigris (Half-tigers)
Natural rivals of the Lycanis, they are solitary warriors with unwavering pride and a great sense of aesthetics.
Physical characteristics: Ears and tail with dark striped patterns, and slightly sharpened fangs.
Magical affinity: Lightning and electricity magic, and martial arts techniques imbued with mana.
Status in Vaelora: They are the "lone wolves" of the academy. They rarely work as a team, but their individual power in combat exams is legendary.
🦈 The Abyssals (Semi-sharks and Orcas)
Students from the underwater kingdoms who have come to Vaelora to perfect their mastery of water.
Physical characteristics: Small dorsal fins on the back, sharp teeth, and subtle membranes between the toes.
Magical Affinity: High-pressure water magic, ice manipulation, and mana echolocation.
Status in Vaelora: They completely dominate the academy's aquatic training areas and are unbeatable during rainy days.
🐱 The Felis (Semi-cats)
Agile, independent, and extremely curious. They are the most unpredictable students at Vaelora.
Physical characteristics: Triangular cat ears that move constantly and thin, flexible tails.
Magical affinity: Stealth magic, shadow manipulation, and agility enchantments.
