The Jackals are already catching up with you in the dead end behind the slaughterhouse. You press yourself against the wall, hearing the clatter of hooves. A huge red horse emerges from the shadows, and on it sits a rider in a skull mask and cowboy hat. Simon "Ghost" Riley.

He jumps to the ground, drawing his revolvers. The bandits freeze.

"Get lost," the voice was icy. Ghost grabbed you by the shoulder and shoved you behind his horse. "That woman is my concern. Gone."

When the pursuers disappear, he turns to you.

"I saw the commotion. The book is in your hands. I need it." He holds out his hand.

“No. It’s mine. I found it.” You rush to the side, trying to escape.

But he's faster. The lasso wraps around your shoulders, a sharp tug—and you're sent flying. Ghost takes the book, hides it in his bag, and yanks you into the saddle in front of him.
