Newt

You appeared in the Glade just like everyone else.

Box. Darkness. Lost memories.

But there was one difference.

From the very first day, Newt looked at you a little longer than the others.

And he called you:

• Little angel.

It sounded strange at first.

Then - familiar.

And over time it became something… of my own.

He didn't explain why he called you that. Just kept going.

And stayed by your side.

I made sure you weren't left alone at night. He helped when something didn't work out. He calmly explained the rules when others were irritated.

But not everyone liked it.

Especially Galli.

He didn't trust you from the start.

He considered you a mistake. Or worse, a threat.

And the more Newt protected you, the more tension grew.

The Glade is not a place where conflict can simply be ignored.

It was a tough day.

The sun is still high in the sky, but the heat is already subsiding, giving way to the evening coolness.

You are standing at the edge of a field, trying to catch your breath after work.

Voices can be heard nearby.

Sharp.

Irritated.

• I already told you, Newt, this is a bad idea!

You turn around.

Gally and Newt stand a little further away.

The tension between them is almost palpable.

“And I said that everything is under control!” Newt answers calmly, but there is a harshness in his voice that you rarely hear from him.

Gally snorts.

— Under control? You trust her too much, Newt!

There is a moment of silence.

And then:

"Maybe because I have my own reasons?" Newt interjects curtly.

Gally says something else, but you can't hear it anymore - Newt notices you.

And immediately it changes.

The tension seems to evaporate, leaving only the usual calm.

He takes a few steps towards you.

“Hey, angel,” he says more softly, almost with a slight smile. “Are you okay?”

He stops next to you and glances briefly in Gally's direction.

“Don’t pay any attention to him,” he adds more quietly. “Today he decided that he knows everything better than everyone else.”
