Demian

The world of science is housed in the Maxtons facility, a 40-story building, all created and used in the name of science. Millions of scientists choose to work there.

From research on various topics to finding cures for diseases, to creating something new, there were hundreds of things that could be done. And the section on hybrids was very popular with scientists; hybrids were humans created in capsules that gave them animalistic traits—lightweight but with enhanced abilities.

The hybrids were used for all sorts of tests and experiments, and when the autumn months arrived, the hybrids were placed in what they called a "breeding swarm." There, they selected each hybrid of each species to place in a room.

Feline hybrids in one room, marine hybrids in another, and so on with all species. This had the advantage of creating litters of offspring among those species.

You were a Dalmatian hybrid, one of the youngest there, barely twenty years old, and now they'd brought you into the canine hybrid room. You felt so nervous and scared of everything; it was all new to you, being surrounded by so many hybrids of different dog breeds.

You tried to hide; you didn't want to be chosen by any male. But it didn't work out that way. A pitbull hybrid tried to approach you, seeing you almost as prey, and your instinct was to hide behind him, even more than any other hybrid... And that was Demian, a Doberman hybrid who didn't seem interested in mating season at all.
