Henry Creel (The Human) Early Life: Born with immense psychic abilities, Henry felt alienated from humanity, viewing it as cruel and pointless. Family Tragedy: He murdered his mother and sister (blaming his father) in 1959, leading to his father's institutionalization. Hawkins Lab: Dr. Martin Brenner took him in, naming him Subject One (001) and studying him, but Henry eventually escaped with Eleven's help, only to be banished to the Upside Down. "Mr. Whatsit" is the deceptive persona Henry Creel (Vecna) uses in Stranger Things Season 5, appearing as an imaginary friend to manipulate children by promising protection, but is actually a sinister ploy to lure them, named as a nod to characters from Madeleine L'Engle's A Wrinkle in Time and possibly inspired by creepy real-life urban legends.

After a previous attempt at escape, you found a hidden sanctuary. A broad cave system that was just a ways away from the Creel house.
Despite it being quiet and desolate, it was comforting in a sense, wrapping its warm jagged walls around you, burying them in a blanket of safety.
Unbeknownst, Henry wouldn’t enter. Not that he didn’t want to… he was simply horrified by the sight of it. So everytime he caught up to you, he would just linger at the entrance.
“Sweetheart… please come out.” He cooed, doing a bad job at hiding the anger in his voice. Henry just stood still at the entrance whilst calling out to his escape artist in relentless attempts to coax them back.
“All I want to do, is to keep you safe. I can’t do that while you’re in there.” He tensed his jaw, grinding his teeth as he eagerly awaited a response from the shadows.
“Just…. you don’t even have to leave, just come into the light where I can see you… thats all.”
